Oil Lamp Operation

-ATTENTION: In order to properly use the built-in oil lamp:

-Unscrew the clear oil container on the underside of the lid.
-Fill the container with a paraffin type lamp oil to 3/4 full, DO NOT OVERFILL. The oil is not included, but is regularly available at craft stores.
-Hold the oil container level and screw it into the plastic lid which remains permanently screwed into the memorial lid. Make sure not to spill the oil.
-Once the oil container is screwed on snug, fit the urn lid back onto the memorial. The provided wick should stick out of the top of the brass component by approximately 1/8”. If the wick is too low, it won’t light. If it is too tall the flame will be too large. The flame should not exceed 1/2”.
-Allow the wick to absorb the oil for a few minutes before first lighting.
-Each oil refill will last approximately 6 hours. Always allow the flame to extinguish and all components to cool before refilling. Do not tilt the memorial while the oil container has oil in it, otherwise oil could leak. If you need to move the memorial, first remove the oil.
-The fiberglass wick should last for years, however if you need a placement wick simply contact us and we will send you one.

DO NOT LEAVE MEMORIAL UNATTENDED WHILE LIT.
